As Director of Investments and General Counsel for Twain, Matt helps lead Twain’s capital raising efforts across all platforms and helps manage the investments team.

Prior to Twain, Matt spent nearly 8 years as a real estate and commercial finance attorney with Husch Blackwell LLP, representing developers, lenders, investors, and non-profit organizations in residential and commercial transactions. He also counseled lenders and borrowers in real estate, construction, cash flow, and asset-based loan transactions. Prior to joining Husch Blackwell LLP, he was a judicial clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge David Noce and a Congressional intern for U.S. House of Representative Jerry F. Costello.

Matt received his JD from Saint Louis University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois. Matt is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. Matt currently serves on the Board of Directors and acts as General Counsel for Habitat for Humanity St. Louis. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Webster Groves, MO.
